Louise Woodward, English Au Pair, Guilty of Murder
by Naomi Bennett

The United States and England have been fascinated by the live television trial of this young 19 year old girl for murdering an 8 1/2 month old boy in her charge for a professional couple in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The public of both nations were surprised by the jury's guilty verdict on October 30, 1997 at 9:30 pm in Cambridge, MA.

Louise Woodward's Horoscope Chart

Louise Woodward was born in Elton, England on February 28, 1978. No time of day is known at this time. She has a very emotional personality with Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Pisces; Uranus and the Moon in Scorpio; and Mars in Cancer. Her face is very round like a water sign and she has a plump, fleshy skin with baby like features. I would guess her rising sign to be early Cancer near 11:45 am. This is a person very much into their own fantasy world of imagination with a mental state that creates a dream world to function in. With all this water, emotions swing widely. She could make a good actress will her easy access to her feelings and her great imagination. Drugs, alcohol, or smoking should be avoided by this type of personality because addictive behaviors are easy to acquire and difficult to break. There is very little resistance and little discipline to keep from being swept away by moods and emotions.

On February 4, 1997, Louise called 911 because Mathew Eappen was having trouble breathing. When help arrived near 7 p.m., he was rushed to the hospital semi-comatose. He lived for five days and was brain dead on February 9th when he died. Mathrew was 8 1/2 months old which would place his birthday near March 25, 1996. His exact birthday isn't available.

Astrological Influences

Like most tragic deaths, the day and hour of the accident is very telling. The slow transits set a trend, Mars comes into aspect to add a crisis, the Sun's position can determine the day and the Moon points to the hour along with the Ascendant. About 30% of this information is missing, but look at what we do have. Transiting Mars was conjunct the Lunar node and in opposition to Saturn while being stationary in early Libra since very early January. This was an extraordinary astrological period that could bring many people into prolonged emotional stress. It can represent a slow resentful burn, duties and restriction of the self along with high implusivity.

Louise had been in the household for three months and the Eappens were having difficulty with her staying out late many nights with friends and not be ready to work in the morning. They restricted her phone calls and didn't want her to do personal matters like her laundry while she was alone with the children. This aspect was on her own lunar nodes and I bet it was rubbing her raw with resentment. Add to this that transiting Venus, Jupiter and Uranus in early Aquarius was squaring her Moon in Cancer. This week was full of impulsiveness with free spending of money and a need to be a rebel. Transiting Sun was squaring her Uranus so a higher level of reactionary behavior, more rebellion and extra irritability were present for her this week and this day. I personally speculate that the most likely time of the abuse was closer to 5:00 pm with a probably call to 911 near 6:30 and then the arrival of help near 7:00 pm. From the astrological events, I do believe she caused the fatal damage to Mathew out of frustration and irritability. I don't think she realized how sever the injuries were for awhile. She probably waited for a time to assess the situation before calling 911.

The Verdict's Aspects

On October 27th, Louise's attorneys took a gamble to drop the manslaughter option to the jury and only give them a choice of first and second degree murder thinking that they would acquit her since there was no intent or malice of forethought. Everyone was surprised (except astrologers this week) that the jury decided guilty of second degree murder. This was the same week that the world stock markets were taking a giant tumble downhill. There was the element of surprise and unexpected turn of events with transiting Sun square Uranus this week and Mars and Venus conjunct each other but squaring the Lunar Nodes. In addition, Mars and Venus entered Out of Bounds declination this month which is considered to create an extreme dimension to their natural characteristics. The jury came back on October 30, 1997 at 9:30 am with guilty. Transiting Pluto was on the guilty verdict's ascendant of 2 degrees Sagittarius. This is an extreme, authority aspect to justice. The transiting Moon was square Neptune, the Sun was square Uranus and Mercury was square Jupiter. These squares spell out punitive decisions.

As of this writing, the Judge will decide on November 10th if he will decide to overrule the jury and reduce the charges to manslaughter or call for a new trial. If anyone has more exact data on these people or events, I would appreciate an email to fill in the astrological events that are missing without exact times.
